Pair of Lamps

These bedside lamps are brushed nickel with a nice ball and chain pull.  Problem was, when you pulled the chain to turn it on the light tipped over...no weight in the base!  I love weathered stones from Parsons Beach so I used weld bond and made a nice stack at the bottom of each one.  No more falling over and they look much nicer!  Now they have personality. So does Onyx...meow!

Bucket bag made of men's silk ties

Making this bag required 8 men's ties. I left 2 of the ties long and used a metal buckle slide for the adjustable strap.  Inside I placed a hard denim covered 8" disk for a bottom which can be removed to wash the bag, or have it be a soft sack bag.  The flap has a hook and eye closure to shut the bag, or just leave it open!  Colors of this are blue/gray/maroon/purple  but this can be made in any color you like!  Available at Mill77 in Amesbury for $35.00 or by email at zantri.designs@gmail.com

Colorful Flower Fairies to brighten the day

Flower fairies are always fun and I especially enjoy the pocket variety.  I first saw them years ago from Sally Mavor and bought one of her kits.  She makes little felt clothes for hers and paints the faces on as well and they are stunning!  My version is more in the Waldorf style.  The faces are blank...for more imagining :) and I weave the embroidery floss on the entire "body" of the pipe cleaner to create the clothing, then add the flowers and hair and acorn cap! The resulting fairy is about 4 inches and bendable.  They can be posed repeatedly and  placed just about anywhere.

To add some color to my summertime table in upcycle style...
I grabbed some of my clear glass bottles and tore up some tissue paper and voila!  Some summertime color

Mini skirt of Mens Tie tips and denim

This little skirt is a size 8..its short, its cute and is sure to become a favorite thing to throw on in a pinch. Skirt falls about 3 or 4 inches above the knee.

Bracelet for Book Group

I made this bracelet for two of the members
 of my book group to thank them for
inviting me into their group 10 years ago.
I laminated color pictures of each book
we read this year and put a rivet on the corner
to hang them on the chain.  I added
some beads and a small tag that
says "2010-2011 BG"
